variety of emotional and behavioral disorders of children and to aid in the
design of treatment plans. This computer-generated report is based on one
component of this system and should not be the sole basis for making important
diagnostic or treatment decisions. Guidance on interpreting the BASC is
provided in the BASC Manual.

The Behavior Assessment System for Children (BASC) is an integrated system
designed to facilitate the differential diagnosis and classification of a
variety of emotional and behavioral disorders of children and to aid in the
design of treatment plans. This computer-generated report is based on one
component of this system and should not be the sole basis for making important
diagnostic or treatment decisions. Guidance on interpreting the BASC is
provided in the BASC Manual.

If these extremely negative responses are consistent with other information
about the child, the TRS-C can be accepted as valid. On the other hand, if
these responses seem inconsistent with other information, the possibility
should be considered that the TRS-C is invalid. The teacher may have
adopted a negative response set in completing the form, or may have
misunderstood the items. However, the possibility should be considered that
the child's negative behavior is specific to the rater or the social
situation. Use your judgment and outside data, perhaps including an
interview with the teacher, to discern the reason for this high F score.

The extremely negative responses of Rater 2 are inconsistent with the
responses of Rater 1. The possibility should be considered that one set of
responses is unreliable. Rater 2 may have adopted a negative response set or
misunderstood the items. Rater 2's responses may also indicate that the
child's negative behavior is specific to the rater or the social situation.
Use your judgment and outside data to discern if this is the case.

SIMILARITY COEFFICIENT
The Coefficient of Profile Agreement is computed on scale scores only and
ranges from +1.0 (for perfect agreement between profiles) to -1.0 (for
opposite profiles). Values close to +1.0 indicate that the two profiles
are similar in both shape and level.
Similarity coefficient for Rater 1 and Rater 2: 0.96
