Our Mission
The mission of ABBP Foundation is the promotion of competent specialty practice and specialty board
certification, the protection of the public through providing educational opportunities in the form of
scholarships and assistance to training programs, and provision of continuing professional development. The
Foundation supports educational programs to promote the importance of psychology board certification to
the general public and related professions. To achieve this goal, the mission of the Foundation includes raising
funds. No earmarked funds can be used for any purposes other than those by which they have been
designated.
Our Purpose
The ABPP Foundation was formally recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization for the
following purpose: to receive, administer, and expend funds for charitable and educational activities, related
to its mission.
What ABPP Specialists Can Do to Help Support the Mission of the Foundation: Give Generously!
As the Gold Standard of Professional Psychology Board certification…we believe in providing opportunities for
training, access, and education for psychologists and public awareness of the importance specialty board
certification in professional psychology. Your donation is much needed, whether you make a one-time
contribution or continue your contributions on an annual basis to maintain your donor status.
We invite you to make a single contribution, an annual commitment, or a multi-year pledge to the endowment
development campaign. Below are several options for your consideration.
Examples of Designated Single Gifts




Provide support for one candidate for an underrepresented minority group to become-board certified
in a specialty of your choice
Underwrite an honorarium for a featured speaker at the ABPP Continuing Education Conference with
regard to a specific topic area.
Make a donation in honor of an esteemed mentor, supervisor, colleague, friend, a much respected
ABPP leader or colleague
Contribute to our existing named awards or working with ABPP to develop another named award.
Donation Levels
Donation levels are established with the requisite donation for one calendar year. Annual donations are
required to maintain donor levels, with the exception of the Diamond Legacy Patron Level (required annual
minimum contribution of $500 to maintain this level).

All donation levels are effective for one year and may be renewed annually to maintain the donor level.
Diamond legacy donors may maintain their donor level in subsequent years with a minimum of a $500
donation each year.
Remember ABPP in your estate planning
An important and overlooked means of ensuring that our work continues is by making a bequest to ABPP in
your will. The Federal Government encourages such gifts by allowing an unlimited estate tax deduction.
Often times these funds are designated for the Fund for the Future, which insures the functioning of ABPP in
perpetuity.
Financial Advantages for Donors
Through planned giving, donor friends can make a lasting contribution that both benefits them and at the
same time support the future of psychology as a profession.
