SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY Athletic Department Procedure: Playing Season Declaration Southern Utah University will employ the following procedure to document playing and practice seasons. 1. The Playing Season Declaration form can be copied or picked up from the Compliance Office. 2. Each Head Coach will contact the Compliance Office to discuss the playing and practice season. During the meeting, the Head Coach, in conjunction with the Compliance Office, will complete and sign the Playing Season Declaration form. 3. A copy of the form will be made for the Head Coach. The original will be kept in the Compliance Office. (Competition schedule must be attached when submitted.) 4. Any changes to the information provided on the form must be forwarded to the Compliance Office. Maximum Number of Contests and Dates of Competition: Please see sport specific section under Bylaw 17. Days do not have to be counted if they are required days off, or official vacation, holiday and final examination periods during which no practice or competition shall occur. Days do not have to be counted if they are required days off, or official vacation, holiday or final-examination periods during which no practice or competition occurs.
