One Divisional Public relations officer, One Publicity Assistant, One post of Typist and (3) Posts of Attenders were sanctioned to the office. The Divisional Public relation Officer will work under the control of District Public relation officer concerned and Regional Deputy Director. He will give wide publicity to the developmental activities that were taken up in their revenue Division through various media. Apart from that he will publicizes the Government Programmes / Policies that were taken up by Govt. He will be taking feed back on Govt. Schemes from grass root level and same will be sent to Government. He will highlight the success stories of his revenue division. He also maintains liaison with Press and Electronic Media. He also maintaining liaison with all Developmental agencies of his Revenue Division. He will distribute publicity material like broachers, pamphlets and folders. Collects subscription towards Andhra Pradesh Magazines. DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION : The object of the office is to publicize the activities of the Govt. Policies and programmes on the welfare and developments. The office will create the awareness amongst the People on eradication of evils like untouchability, dowry, jogini, bonded labour, child labour, etc., through Song and Drama, Films shows etc., The Office is organizing the Divisional Information Centre. All daily news papers both Telugu and English, Weeklies will keep in the centre to facilitate to the visitors. Some reference books are also kept in the centre. FUNCTIONS : : The office discharges the following key Functions . 1. Publicizes the activities of the Govt. Policies and Programmes on welfare and Developmental activities the grass root level 2 2. Creates awareness amongst the People of Downtrodden and weaker sections through various medias on eradication of evils like untouchability, dowry, bonded labour etc., 3. Photo exhibitions, song & Drama programmes, on Govt. Scheme in Melas and Jatras. 4. Press tours will be organized for factual reporting and for success stories coverage both for Press and Electronic Media. 5. Installation of Public Address System for the Govt. functions if any; 6. Organizes film show . 7. Maintaining information centers with daily news papers and weeklies and reference books and literature Govt. policies & Schemes etc., for common people and press. 8. Obtaining feed back on policies and programmes of Govt. and send to Government. 4 (1)(b)(ii) Powers and Duties of Officer and Staff : Divisional Public Relations Officer As the head of the office, the Divisional Public Relations Officer will supervise the work doing by the staff of his office. Publicizes the programmes of Govt. welfare and Developmental activities through various medias. Issues Press Releases and conduct press tours obtain feed back on Policies and programmes of the Govt. send it to the Govt. Conduct Photo exhibition on the Govt. activities during the fairs and festivals. Distributes publicity material in the division. He will maintain liaison with Press and Official of the division. Co-ordinates with Dist. Public relations Officer for issuing the Accreditations to the media persons. Publicity Assistant. He will assist the Divisional Public relations Officer in all aspects of Official duty. He will conduct Photo exhibition during fairs and festival, Jatras etc., He will organize film shows and arrange P.A. System to VIPs, meetings. He will attend for Photo coverage’s if any. He will distribute the publicity material. Typist He will maintain records of the office like attendance Register, Furniture Register, Stationary Stock Register and Stores Stock register etc., He will prepare pay bills and send them to the Dist. Public Relations Officer for Counter Signature. He will type the letters if any correspondence. He will maintain Inward and Outward Register. He will maintain all other related records. 4(1)(b) (iii) 3 The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability : The Procedure prescribed in the District Office Manual is being followed. The Rules and regulations inforce are being followed.
