Adults support the children in the areas of provision and in focus tasks to develop their knowledge and skills and to extend thinking and develop independence. The EYFS staff use assessments and follow the interests of the children to develop fun and exciting activities through which our children learn. There is also a bank of learning opportunities in the table above. The long term plan is flexible to allow the interests of the children to be followed. This supports children to develop skills and use the characteristics of learning in their play. There are many elements covered every half term that do not feature in the long term plan. The plan demonstrates the emphasis on elements covered throughout the year. These elements will also be covered at other times.
