(Winchester, VA) - (Winchester, VA) --The Northern Shenandoah Valley office of Lutheran Family
Services won top awards this spring from The Arc, the Winchester-based chapter of a nationwide

The Arc, the Winchester-based chapter of a nationwide organization that works to improve the lives of
adults with disabilities awarded the LFSVA Winchester/Northern Shenandoah Valley Office the 2011
Community Service Provider of the Year and Services Worker Lynn Waymouth, the 2011 Direct Care
Professional of the Year. At the spring CCC Conference, Adoption Worker Amber Brown was given
the "Tigger Award" for her extraordinary commitment to children. Brown won the award, named after the

children.

Both the agency office and Waymouth were nominated for The Arc award by Niki and Bryan Pangle,

Treatment Services from Waymouth to help him modify some behavior.
Cassie Phipps, who manages the LFS office, says that she and her co-workers are humbled by the
