SLEEP DISORDERS: INPATIENT AND
OUTPATIENT USE OF SLEEPERS

Desired Outcomes:






Diagnose and assess sleep disorders
Manage sleep disorders in the inpatient and outpatient settling
appropriately
Utilize sleep aids appropriately
Improve patient safety and decrease patient falls
Utilize non-pharmacologic options, such as the “Sweet
Dreams” resource
Consider cultural factors in the prevalence, diagnosis, and
treatment of sleep disorders
