MARIA SOLEDAD M. LOPEZ-DISTOR
Registered Chemist and a Civil Service Commission Eligible Professional. She has completed her Bachelor
of Science in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos and post-graduate studies in
Management major in Public Administration from Laguna College of Business and Arts. She is presently a
part-time faculty (Associate Professor V) of Systems Technology Institute (STI)-Sta. Rosa. She is at the
same time a member of the pool of Technical Expert/Assessor of the Philippine Accreditation Bureau of
the Department of Trade and Industry, tasked to assess the technical competence of chemical testing
laboratories for ISO 17025 accreditation. She is also an in-house resource speaker (March 2014 to

Conducts chemical analyses and tests for bottled water using official analytical methods to include
conductivity, alkalinity and hardness in conformance to standard specifications as a means of monitoring
quality of raw materials and finished products. Assists in the development of methodology/techniques
for the analysis of sample as specifically required for establishing quality standards and product
specifications and conducts validation on the same. Prepares reports on the results of analysis and
makes necessary evaluation with regards to conformance to specifications.
