Self-Management
Strategy: Self-Management
Appropriate Grade Level: K-12th Grade
Procedures/Steps:
1. Identify target behaviors. These can be academic, nonacademic, or
both. The teacher and student discuss these target behaviors.
2. Ratings for behavior are determined. This can be on a scale from 1
(poor) to 5 (excellent).
3. After each class period or day, the student and teacher rate behaviors.
The two ratings are compared and graphed.
4. The teacher rating is reduced with the student using self-management
to rate himself/herself.
