CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSION PROPOSALS
On behalf of the Organizing Board it is my pleasure to invite you to organize a Special Session at
the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (IEEE ICIT 2003), which will be
held in Maribor, Slovenia, on December 10-12, 2003.
The Conference is organized by the Institute of Robotics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science, University of Maribor in close cooperation and with support of the IEEE
Industrial Electronics Society and other international and national electrical engineering
institutions.

Special sessions are prestigious and endow an opportunity to the organizer to define and elevate
the quality of the conference by bringing in eminent people and serious researchers to present
their results that potentially impact the direction of research in that topic. The reward to the
organizer and other presenters of such a session is to network closely with the top researchers in
their research field, to have an opportunity to impress, to influence other researchers in this field,
and to mentor young researchers.
Procedure to submit a proposal for a special session:
1. Please send a proposal to organize a special session:

2. The proposal, preferably, should contain the following:

Topic
Organizer’s name, complete address, phone number and email address
How many papers in that session planned for (Between 5 and 10 papers per
session)
Who are being invited to present papers in that session
Submit the names of the authors who will participate in the session and their
addresses and email addresses
(vi)
Names of the session’s chair and co-chair
Some of this may be filed at a later date when all the info is available. Please start with items (i)
to (iii) and then send other info as they become available.
Proposals should be submitted by electronic mail as soon as possible, but in any case no later
than June 14th, 2003.

IEEE ICIT 2003.
