Role Description
Our supply chain manages all stages of our supply process. Starting with sourcing raw materials and
ending with timely delivery, whether it’s face cream or ice cream, this business area is responsible
for making sure our products are on the shelves when consumers want them, at a good price. All
three areas – Supply Management, Manufacturing and Logistics – call for clear thinkers with good
strategic, logistical skills.
Our industrial placements are specially designed to give you the experience you’re hungry for –
before you even graduate. We will accept applications from any degree discipline. Students must
have completed a minimum of two years of a degree and be returning to study after their
placement.
Our Supply Chain Management Industrial Placement is a chance to showcase your thinking and skills,
with total support from a line manager and a buddy. To get the most out of your time with us, you’ll
need to take an interest in your own development – learning as much as you can about Unilever and
the huge diversity of business areas we have. Students who successfully pass our industrial
placement programme will be offered a place on our Future Leaders Programme.
Students who succeed at Unilever are excited by business, relish competition and customer
satisfaction and have the ambition to succeed. We also have excellent benefits to support you
through your placement.

Salary £18,500 per annum

20 days annual leave

Online training

Access to sport, leisure and numerous other on-site facilities
Placements start in the summer of 2013 and you will be based in one of our Unilever locations
throughout the UK.

Development are responsible for building relationships with the biggest of supermarkets and
smallest of local shops to make sure that when someone reaches for a Unilever product, it’s there. In
a competitive business that’s growing at pace, you’ll forge close relationships and create new ways
to reach our audiences.
