PRESS RELEASE Salzburg in the Autumn: traditional folk and all that jazz UNESCO's World Heritage Site will be offering an irresistible entertainment mix of jazz, traditional "Volksmusik" and the classics: For the seventeenth year, the Salzburg Jazz Festival will be turning the old town into a vibrant stage for jazz performers of international acclaim. The Harvest Festival will spotlight living heritage, tradition and the crafts, and Salzburg's museums will be showcasing exciting special exhibitions. Ultimate highlight of the events in and around the city is the Harvest Festival. The festival, celebrating Salzburg's long-standing heritage, local food and crafts with over 2,000 special events in 74 communities throughout the province, is a soaring success with everyone in and around the city. Following the theme „Sing a Song“, outstanding international jazz, chanson und pop vocalists will provide top entertainment (October 23 - November 4, 2012).
