A summary list of features for Version 10:












Gift Cards – gift card issue, balance, redemption, and fulfillment available to call center, mail
order, and web orders. WTG Gift Card service subscription required.
Channel Manager support for CommerceV3 shopping cart (more carts to be added over time,
and automatically supported by Version 10) Channel Manager will add many internet-related
features to Response. Channel Manager support for CommerceV3 is included as a standard
feature of Version 10. Other Channel Manager features (other shopping carts, dropship
functionality, pricing TBD).
Accounting integration with Quickbooks (chart of accounts can be mapped to Quickbooks chart
of accounts, and summary posts made via ledger entries) Uses Quickbooks SDK. This is a
phased approach, see below. Accounting integration is a standard feature.
Visual Workflow (customizable flow diagrams can be used/created/customized)
Vendor Returns (items can be returned to vendor for repair, replace, or credit)
Import/Confirm DropShip Pos (DropShip Pos can be imported with ship date and tracking info
from a file, instead of receiving DropShips individually)
Certona Resonance recommendations available to order entry operator for phone orders
(requires service from Certona)
Record Tags – large amounts of data can be appended to records

FAQ
Are all of the features listed above complete?
Most are complete. Some will employ a "phase in" approach where the available functionality will
expand over time (e.g. Channel Manager/CommerceV3, Quickbooks, PA-DSS features, etc). We will
detail the depth of functionality for each new feature along with video demonstrations in the coming
days.
When can I install it, what is the procedure, and must I do a trial
conversion?
You may schedule your version 10 upgrade at your convenience starting May 1, though we will not
schedule more than two upgrades to occur in the same week during May, and no more than four per
week thereafter in order to give the upgrades full/undivided attention from our support staff. Because
the risk of something going wrong is very small, and because the upgrade is similar to normal
maintenance releases, a trial conversion is not required. That said, we do still recommend a trial
conversion whenever possible. The upgrade process should take no more than an hour to run, and in
most cases will finish in less than half of that time.
What happens if we stay on version 9 and never upgrade?
The cost to support version 9 will increase over time and, eventually, support won't be available at all.
No software company can support older products forever. No enhancements can be made to version 9,
only critical bug fixes.
Will the installation of version 10 affect any of my custom Crystal
Reports or any other custom scripting?
In most cases, no. Version 10 adds fields and tables, none are taken away and no field names are
changed. An updated Response Data Reference Guide for Version 10 will be available soon and will
detail all of the changes to the Response database schema.
Will I have everything I have now in version 9 when I upgrade to
version 10 at no additional charge other than the upgrade price quoted
in the email?
Everything you licensed in version 9 will be active and available in Version 10. Nothing will be taken
away.
How can I tell if Version 10 installed successfully?
You’ll be notified of any errors during the conversion process. You should review your conversion log
and also forward it to support@colinear.com for our review. And be sure to run some of your routine
tasks to ensure that everything is working correctly before going into full production.
Response V10 says that a subscription to WTG Card services is required. My website
has this functionality already. Can we leverage that into Response and not another card
service? If not, are there plans to make it possible to do this?
Version 10 gift cards are specific to the WTG card services (http://www.wtgcard.com), which is a private
label gift card service (not like visa gift cards). The problem with using your website gift card service is
that the call center and the storefront would know nothing about the cards purchases on the website
(without opening up the website and dealing with it). It may be possible to "convert" existing gift card

numbers/balances to WTG Gift Cards, but that would also require changing your website to support the
gift cards. Please provide more information on which gift card service you are using, and how your
website currently integrates.
