China, one of the four oldest civilizations in the world, has a written history of 4,000 years and
boasts rich cultural relics and historical sites. It is the inventor of compass, paper, gunpowder and
printing. The Great Wall, the Grand Canal and the Karez irrigation systems are three great
ancient engineering projects built 2,000 years ago. Now they are the symbols of the rich culture
heritage of the Chinese nation. China has gone over a long history of primitive society, slavery
society, feudal society and semi-feudal semi-colonial society and the present socialist society.

Day 1
Arrival in Hong Kong and transfer to our hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2
Today we experience Hong Kong during a half day Island tour including a tram ride the
famous Victoria Peak and Aberdeen the famous harbour of the Chinese junks.

Day 3
In the morning we are boarding the train to Guangzhou (1 ½ hours). On arrival we visit
the Chen Clan temple and the Qingping market. In the afternoon transfer to the airport
and flight to China’s Boomtown Shanghai. Overnight and dinner in Shanghai.
Day 4
We visit the Shanghai museum a famous museum of its kind for Chinese art, enjoying a
harbour cruise of China’s great and famous port. Shanghai is the melting point of China.
Experience the Old Shanghai and the very modern city with its most interesting skyline of
skyscrapers by walking at the river promenade “Bund”. Lunch at the Green Wave
Pavilion. Walk Shanghai’s famous shopping road the Nanjing Road.
Overnight train to Beijing, China’s capital city.
Day 5
In the morning arrival in Beijing transfer to our hotel. We visit the famous Tiananmen
Square, the world largest. – the “Square of Heavenly Peace” and the enchanting
Summer Palace, one of China’s largest and best-preserved imperial gardens.
Overnight in Beijing with a famous Beijing Roast Duck dinner.
Day 6
Visit of the Imperial Palace, also known as the “Forbidden City” that symbolizes the
Imperial and traditional China. The Rickshaws in the old town and a visit to children’s
home and kindergarten. Not to forget, a visit of Temple of Heaven, the place where the
emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and
harvest. In the evening we visit the world famous Beijing Opera. Overnight and dinner in
Beijing.
Day 7
Today’s highlight is our visit to the Great Wall, symbol of Chinese civilization. On our way
back to the city we visit a Lama Temple, the rest of the day is at leisure.
In the evening we proceed to the station where we take the overnight train to Xi’an.

Day 8
We arrive in Xi’an in the morning. This city is famous for its old Chinese dynasties and
art. A visit to the Old City Wall and the Wild Goose Pagoda is on the program. Overnight
and dinner in Xian
Day 9
Begin the day with a once-in-a-lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2,200 year old
Terracotta Warriors of China’s first Emperor, Qin Shihuang. In the afternoon we visit the
superb Shaanxi History Museum, best of its kind in China. The city is known for its
strategic position and the start of the famous Silk Road. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight and dinner in Xian.
Day 10 We fly to Guilin, one of China’s most beautiful cities. After arrival we visit the Reed Flute
Cave and the Fubo Hill, for a superb panoramic view of Guilin and Seven Star Park with
its huge caverns and charming pavilions. Guilin is known for typical Chinese fairy tales.
The country side around Guilin is an inspiration for poets and painters. In the evening we
are visiting a famous market.

Day 11 Full day tour to Longshen, we visit the mountain rice terrace and a minority village before
we return to Guilin the late afternoon. Overnight and dinner in Guilin.
Day 12 Today’s we enjoy a wonderful cruise on the Li-river with lunch on the boat. This is
another beautiful highlight of our tour through China. During the cruise you will
experience a lovely view of the areas extraordinary limestone peaks. Painters call the LiRiver scenery “Hundreds of Kilometers Painting” In the afternoon the coach will take us to
the airport for our flight to Hong Kong. Arrival in Hong Kong and transfer to hotel.

Day 13 Transfer to Hong Kong International Airport for your return flight.
