Table of Fees for Licences and Permits –
from 1 July 2015
Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Fees) Regulations 2006 S.R. No. 57/2006
The New fee applies to a new application for a licence or permit and to an amendment to an existing licence or
permit where an inspection may be required, e.g. change of premises, change of ownership (legal entity), or
addition of poisons schedules.
• A new licence or permit is required where there is a change in the legal entity as licences and permits are
not transferable from one legal entity to another legal entity.
• The Renewal fee applies to the annual renewal of existing licences and permits.
• The Amendment fee only applies to amendments to licences and permits where an inspection is not
required e.g. a change of Responsible Person or business/trading name.

As set out in the Treasurer’s Determination under Division 81 of the Commonwealth - A New Tax System,
(Goods & Services Tax) Act 1999 – GST does not apply to these fees, i.e. these fees are GST-free.
The Monetary Units Act 2004 provides for the automatic indexation of Fee Units.
A Fee Unit for the year commencing 1 July 2015 is valued at $13.60.
