Jesus’ acceptance of humble birth fulfilled {followed} your plan long ago. He opened for us the way to eternal salvation. When Christ comes again in glory everything will be revealed. We wait for the day with hope and look forward to receive his promise. Long ago the prophets said things about Jesus, and the Virgin Mary waited full of love. John the Baptist pointed to Jesus’ coming and revealed Jesus’ presence. The gift of Jesus leads us to rejoice at the mystery of his birth. Let us be ready in prayer to join in his praise. This feast, full of mystery, God divine and invisible, has now appeared visibly in our world; begotten before all ages, Jesus is born in our world today; Jesus raised up all those cast down {condemned} and called them back to the heavenly kingdom, reunited all creation. And so, with all the Angels, we praise you, as in joyful celebration we acclaim: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts {many}... Through Jesus becoming man he restores {made new} our life with splendour {shining}. Because Jesus accepted our humanity we receive honour and eternal life. And so, in company with the choirs of Angels, we praise you, and with joy we proclaim: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts {many}... Epiphany The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. Today, through Christ, as a light for all people to see. You showed the mystery of our salvation, and as Jesus appeared in flesh you made us new by the glory of his everlasting being.
