HOW TO APPLY FOR ITT SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FOR THE
ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/10
FIRST YEAR (CAO) APPLICANTS TO THE COLLEGE
Applicants for ITT Sports Scholarships should
1.
Complete all sections of this application form and return to the Sports Officer, Institute of Technology Tralee, by no
later than 5pm on 27th February 2009
2.
Apply for your ITT chosen course through the Central Applications Office system. Confirmation of your application
to CAO must accompany the Scholarship application. If you use the Change of Mind facility via CAO, you must
also inform IT Tralee of your new ITT course choice list. (You need only specify the IT Tralee courses that you
have applied for.)

Entry to your chosen course is subject to you meeting the minimum requirements and availability of places on the
course.
The form is divided into 5 sections. Section A – Personal Details, Section B – Education Details, Section C –
CAO/ITT Course Choice Details, Section D – Specialised Sport Details, Section E – Referees. Please read carefully
the following instructions before completing the form.

Closing date for receipt of application for Sports Scholarship is 5pm on 27th February 2009

You will be advised of interview dates after the receipt date.

Scholarships will be awarded for the duration of the course of study registered for in the Academic year
2008-09. Applicants wishing to pursue a CAO entry programme on a part-time/fulltime basis will be
considered for a scholarship

Additional details may be attached to this application form

Emailed/faxed copies will not be accepted

Documentary evidence of awards, certificates, ID photo, etc., must accompany this application

Applicants must have demonstrated exceptional sporting achievement to date

Scholarship recipients must also be available to participate in training with the relevant college team
and represent the ITT in various sporting events

Scholarships awarded are subject to annual review. An academic mentor will be appointed to successful
candidates, with whom regular contact must be maintained by the scholarship recipient.
