CAREER SUMMARY
I have over eight years of wide experience in the areas of HIV/AIDS Paediatric care and
treatment, PMTCT, program implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation. I
spearheaded the setting up and initial running of the Paediatric ART services at the national
referral hospital in Kenya the Kenyatta national hospital (KNH) and PMTCT services in eight
districts in Kenya. I carry out capacity building in form of structured training and mentorship in
general Paediatric care, pediatric ART, PMTCT, and IMCI for in-service and pre-service health
care workers. Also provide consultancy services for partners implementing HIV/AIDS programs
in the areas of ART, PMTCT, HBC, CT and psychosocial support. I am well trained in the area of
general Paediatric and maternal health, HIV/AIDS care and public health with a bias in
epidemiology, international health and HIV research. I am currently providing technical support
to the CDC funded national PMTCT Impact evaluation and Longitudinal Surveillance of Pediatric
HIV Care and Treatment in Kenya (L-SPCTIK).

among HIV-discordant couples who intend pregnancy, versus those who do not intend to

compare sexual behaviors, contraception, condom use, couple-level behaviors and factors, and
