A Master of Science is a postgraduate academic M
awarded by universities in many countries. The degree is typically studied for in the field of sciences including social sciences.
The American university system is different but compatible with the French system. For an American, to reach in MSc in a Graduate school, you have to obtain a Bachelor’s degree. This degree requires four years of study.
A French student who wishes to be registered in an MSc program has to justify having four years of post-baccalaureate study.
Concerning the French Engineer diploma, it is necessary to provide a report at the end of the third year at AgroSup Dijon, which is different of the thesis required by the American University at the end of the second year (year N+1) of the MSc.

To enter “Graduate school” you must first find an academic advisor in the American University whose department is willing to finance your studies. You will need to define a topic of research with the chosen Professor (the object of the thesis at the end of studies), and you will be become his/her temporary assistant. You will be paid an assistantship of approx. $1200 a month, and you will be exempt from paying tuition fees.
In time for registration for Graduate school, French students have to take 2 exams:

The following American universities are partners of AgroSup Dijon:
1) The University of Kentucky, also known as “UK” is a public university located in the city of Lexington, in the State of Kentucky, specialised in the field of
Life Sciences and notably Equine Science.
2) Clemson University is a public university located in the city of Clemson, in the State of South Carolina, specialised in the field of Life Sciences.
-You will follow two objectives in parallel.
-You will benefit from a double registration both at AgroSup Dijon for year 3 and at the American University for years 5 and 6.
-You will obtain two separate diplomas, one from AgroSup Dijon at the end of Year 3 and one from your American University at the end of the MSc.
-Your acceptance as an MSc student will be organized between AgroSup Dijon and the department of the American University. An agreement will be signed with the American professor in charge of your assistantship.
To obtain the MSc you will have to obtain 21 credits. However your referent advisor may ask that you take some extra elective courses. In general, in one six-month period one cannot accumulate more than 12 credits. The average is around 8 to 10 credits per six-month period. The MSc is organized on the whole in 3 six-month periods and the thesis writing begins at the beginning of the first six-month period.
