Summary
The unit standards were designated to expire on 31 December 2015 or 31 December
2016.
The Targeted Review of Qualifications in the Mechanical Engineering sectors is currently
in progress. This process will also involve a complete review of all unit standards and
development of resources.
It is expected that these processes would take some time and therefore it is necessary to
extend the availability of the unit standards listed above to allow time for qualification
candidates to complete the requirements of their programmes.
