Summary
Ministry of Education in association with NZQA is aligning achievement standards from the
Physical Education learning area in the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC). The project
recommended all Level 2 unit standards be expired as the aligned achievement standards
covered Physical Education outcomes from the NZC.
Feedback from the tertiary sector indicates that this standard is required for qualifications
and the expiry date of this standard has been extended to align with the expiry of the
qualifications.
Main changes
 The expiry date for this unit standard is extended from 31 December 2012 to 31
December 2014.
