.Department of radiology has 2 MRI machines(1.5 and 3 tesla) ,2 CT
machines,one digital mamography ,2 flouro ,14 US and color doppler machines
,Angiography suite and Nuclear medicine unit and is doing 600 radiological
exam./day .All machines are attatched to PACS system with images on intranet
web site . The dept.organises a fellowship program and is sharing in Saudi board
program in Diagnostic Radiology.

Cairo University (Kasr-El-Aini) Hospital is the largest general hospital in Egypt. A 1600 inpatient
division in addition to general and specialized outpatient clinics and 200 beds paediatric
hospital, 200 beds internal medicine hospital and emergency division. X-ray departments
include CT, Ultrasound, Angiography and Conventional x-ray services in addition to teaching
services to medical school master degree (M.Sc.) and doctor’s degree (MDRD) in radio
diagnosis.

King Abdulaziz University is the largest univeresity of the Western province of Saudi Arabia.The
hospital is the only teaching hospital in Jeddah. 280 beds in inpatient division in addition to the
outpatient general and and specialist clinics. X-ray depatment has 5 ultrasound machines, CT
scan,Digital subtraction angiography suite, three X ray rooms for general X-ray and special
techniques, Nuclear medicine divison, Mamography X-ray machine and Magnetic Resonance
Machine. Radiology department organizes weekly meeting with department of Medicine and
Pediatrics in addition to radiological internal meetings and the Radiology club monthly.
Radiology department is also involved in training of House officers in addition to the trainee for
the master degree in radiodiagnosis given by king Abdulaziz university hospital.

patients aiming at studying Virus C hepatitis in Egypt. The study was carried upon 700
patients. One of the early results of this study was obtained results of proven to be
normal persons (by clinical, lab. and sonography) to be used as normal reference
measurement (for the first time) in Egypt.
