TIP OF THE MONTH:
Easy Fire Starters!
The first kind is my favorite, all you
need is some pine cones, some
wick, and some scrap wax. Take
your pine cones and wrap cotton
wick all through the pine cone.
Then dip them in the melted scrap
wax, scented with a winter
fragrance.
The second kind is done with
old cardboard egg cartons. I like to
fill them up with wood shavings,
and pour my melted wax into each
cavity. It's a good idea to lay down
old newspaper or such as the wax
may leak a little. Once they are
hard you'll have 12 fire starters.
The last one is one of my
customers favorites. I'll take votive
molds put a wick in them and then
fill them up with wood shavings.
Then fill with scented scrap wax.
Once they are hard they pop right
out like regular votive, but are great
for getting a nice warm fire going
on a chilly night.
