SpeedTheory - Biography
SpeedTheory are a four piece Metal band from Wolverhampton, UK,
consisting of Wes (vocals,guitar), Jay (Guitar), Bob (bass, vocals) & Alex
(drums), they were formed in the Autumn of 2004 and they draw their
influences from bands such as Metallica, Pantera, Lamb of God, Machine
Head, American Headcharge & Slipknot. They played their first gigs in the
Emergenza Battle of the Bands and got through to the Regional Semi-Finals.
After having supported a few bands at their local venues, they were
headlining after their fourth, and selling out after their Fifth gigs. In July of
2005 SpeedTheory Record their first EP Vengeance at MadHat Studios
Wolverhampton, which won Demo of the Month in Metal Hammer Magazine,
This gave them the drive to push out of Wolverhampton and they have now
played at venues around the UK and have countless other dates booked.
They have also played with the Brazilian, Road Runner signed Band, Ill Nino,
Breed 77 from Gibraltar and Dry Kill Logic from New York where in these gigs
SpeedTheory were very well received by both fans and Bands, which resulted
in Ahrue (Ill Nino) wearing a SpeedTheory T-Shirt on stage, and Christian (Ill
Nino) Refering to SpeedTheory as Local Heros, just after this Vengeance was
announced as the first ever Demo of the Year winner in MetalHammer out of
over 87,000 bands worldwide.They have just recorded their debut album 'Hit
the Dirt' look out for it in the shops late summer. They now look to the future
and world domination.
