I am excited to begin my career as a Registered Nurse. I am seeking an entry-level RN position on the Intensive or Intermediate Care Unit. I believe my past experience has prepared me for this position, and my future aspirations will be strengthened by my experience in either an ICU or IMC Unit. The experience I have gained throughout my clinical and educational experience while at ACC has given me an excellent foundation to build upon. I have also gained invaluable clinical experience during my time in Haiti as a volunteer. While in Haiti I worked with two different non-governmental organizations (NGO). I gained experience in various clinical situations: wound care, triage, acute and emergent care. I was also exposed to theoretical and functional aspects of community health, outreach, and education. I learned how to quickly adapt to new environments and situations, as well as improving my assessment skills, even with a language barrier. The knowledge I gained from working alongside paramedics, nurses, nurse practitioners, and surgeons is something I am privileged to have experienced. I have high aspirations to continue my education. I have spoken with an advisor at the University of Texas at Austin and was informed that because I have previously attended UT Austin for nursing, it would be a very simple process for readmission. I presently only have two semesters remaining until I complete my BSN. My long-term goal is to attend school to become a nurse practitioner, which I believe will be possible through my experience in ICU or IMC at Seton Medical Center. I have attached my resume and I’ll be contacting you shortly. I am looking forward to speaking with you. Regards, Joseph Bagheri
