Shipped Semen Stallion Service Contract
The following is an agreement between tSquare Appaloosas, hereinafter referred to as ‘farm’, who
will stand the Appaloosa stallion:

Hereinafter referred to as"owner", who wishes to book and breed the following mare:

Hereinafter referred to as"mare"
Subject to the following conditions:
It is agreed that:
1. The breeding season for shipping semen shall begin February 1st. and end July 30th.
2. Should the above named stallion die or become unfit or unavailable for service and said mare
does not produce a live, healthy foal, the mare owner will be refunded all monies less collection
and shipping fees.
3. Mare owner shall have the right of return for the above named stallion’s service in the next
breeding season, if necessary, when:
A. Mare does not settle in foal during the present breeding season.
B. Mare is examined in foal but becomes barren during gestation.
C. Mare produces a live foal that is unable to stand and nurse, and subsequently dies
In all cases, a veterinary certificate will be required.
4. If the mare should become unbreedable or if the mare should die before producing a live, healthy
foal, the mare owner may substitute another mare with permission from tSquare Appaloosas.
5. Mare owner will attempt with due diligence to get mare in foal; if however, the mare does not
get in foal and produce a live foal after two breeding seasons, (two years), tSquare Appaloosas
will have no further liability for breeding any mares.
6. The stallion service fee of $700.00 includes a booking fee of $250 payable upon execution of
this contract. The remaining balance of the stallion service fee of $450.00 is to be paid, $200.00
prior to shipping semen and, balance of $250.00 when the mare is confirmed in foal.
7. To book your mare, return the following:
A. This contract signed and dated.
B. The booking fee of $250.00, (Deducted from the stallion service fee).
C. If possible, a copy of the mares registration certificate
8. The mare owner plans to breed the mare during the month of:________________, and agrees to
notify farm before noon Eastern Time, for next day collection and shipping of semen.
9. The mare owner agrees to return the shipping container within one week of insemination of
mare. US Post Office is the most economical. Mare owner will be charged $200.00 for any
containers not returned.
10. The mare owner agrees to have a qualified veterinarian inseminate the mare.
11. The mare owner agrees to have the mare checked for pregnancy 18 - 21 days after insemination,
(palpation or ultra sound). If another shipment is needed, the farm needs to be contacted
immediately to insure that the next shipment is in time for the next cycle.
12. We ship overnight Federal Express, Monday through Friday. Two doses are included in every
shipment so mare can be inseminated twice if your veterinarian deems necessary. If ovulation
could possibly occur on a Monday, inseminating the mare on Saturday and again on Sunday
should suffice.
13. Most mares will become pregnant with one or two shipments. All charges for up to two
shipments are included in the stallion service fee.
14. If additional shipments are needed, mare owner agrees to pay $200.00 collection plus shipping
fee for each additional shipment, prior to shipping.
15. If the mare does not conceive after 3 heat cycles, veterinary re-evaluation of the mare is required.
16. tSquare Appaloosas is not responsible for loss, delayed, or damaged semen during shipment with
Federal Express.
17. A breeders certificate will be issued by tSquare Appaloosas upon report of a live foal and all
other conditions of this agreement have been met.
18. When both parties have signed this agreement it will then be a binding contract on both parties.
