Visit our web-site at http://www.elmirapet.com Connecting Innovation, Quality and Value with Pet Food SALES - ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE PRIVATE LABEL SALES The primary purpose of this position is new account acquisition and category management of grocery, mass, pet specialty, and farm/feed accounts resulting in achieving sales and EBITDA expectations. This position is a key liaison role between the customer and internal Elmira Pet Products (EPP) stakeholders. The focus is achieving growth plans with effective partnership activities build on mutual success, strong relationships, clear communication, superior product and exceptional customer service. This position requires both strong tactical (hands-on) and strategic skills. Responsibilities: Fully understand the true brand position within the competitive landscape to provide realistic insights on current business and future growth opportunities. Establish and execute strategic plans based on these insights and company objectives. Search for uncovered category opportunities. Successfully develop and implement innovative strategies to achieve defined objectives. Closely monitor, evaluate and make recommendations on current product results. Initiate regularly scheduled meetings with customers to: provide sales updates and industry insights, highlight opportunities for growth and make corresponding recommendations for implementation, promote EPP’s vision, values, strengths and achievements. Solutions provider - close sales by building rapport, advocating product and service capabilities, overcoming objections, etc. Act as a conduit between the customer and EPP internal departments: provide effective timely communication with all departments to ensure effective flow of information, optimal use of resources and top tier customer service. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Promote and model the EPP Vision and Values to external customers and internal departments Qualifications: Three to five years sales/marketing experience, preferably in the pet food industry. Strong analytical skills, organizational capabilities and excellent time management abilities. Superior verbal and written communication skills combined with strong negotiation competency.
