Visual Presentation
Directions: Choose one of the following options and design a visual to present your book to the class.
1. Design a character collage in which you use pictures/drawing to depict a characters personality trait. Explain how each image connects to book.
2. Make a Poster to advertise the book in a way to try and sell it to others. Imagine three one sentence reviews that point out some highlighted literary element
of the book.
3. Interview a main character What would you say if you have this character on your television show? What the questions that you would ask them. What
would their answers be based on textual information from the story? Make sure to ask about the most exciting incident or turn of events. Remember you want
maximum audience viewing.
4. Computer Presentation: Use PowerPoint to create a visual presentation summarizing the plot, introducing the main characters and including any other
important information about the book.
5. Children’s Book: Create a children’s book that retells the story. The book should be appropriate for elementary school children, and include illustrations
and/or graphics.
6. Game: Create a trivial pursuit or other game based on your book. Include a game board, game pieces, questions, and answer cards.
7. Poetry Book: Compile a poetry book that includes acrostics, cinquains, diamante, comparison poems and bio poems that express all aspects of the novel. You
must create at least eight different poems based on the novel. Make a decorative or colorful cover for the booklet. Put each poem on a separate page.
8. DEAR _____: Retell the novel through a series of letters to and responses from advice columnist (Ann Landers, Abby, etc.). The letters can be from one
character or from many. Be creative. Make up your own column but make sure the column relates to the book.
