School Mission Statement:
Roosevelt Middle School exists to
empower every student to build
better communities. We will
accomplish this by focusing on three
areas: rigorous academics that prepare
students for a college-prep level high
school curriculum, personal fulfillment
so that students feel safe and that they
belong, and social responsibility so that
students understand that part of being a
member of society means that one must
work to improve it for others.
Roosevelt Middle School
Counseling Mission Statement:
The mission of the Roosevelt School
Counseling Program is to support all
students in their academic, career, and
personal/social development, so they
can be successful in both college-prep
level high school classes and building
better communities, where they feel safe,
and are socially responsible for the well
being of others.
ASCA and the National
Counseling Standards
Social/Personal Development:
-Individual Counseling
-Group Counseling
The American School Counseling
Association (ASCA) has developed
specific standards to help students be
successful throughout their school
careers. Roosevelt Middle School has
services available for each of the
three ASCA developmental domains:
Academic, Social/Personal, and
Career. These services will help your
child be successful in middle school,
prepare them for rigorous high school
classes, and introduce them to their
post high school options.
