2012 Green Gown Awards Australasia Application Form This document forms the basis of your 2012 Green Gown Awards Australasia submission. All general details will be entered online via the application form at http://www.acts.asn.au/index.php/2012-ggaa-application. You are required to complete and upload this electronic form to accompany your online application. Please read the ‘Guidance Notes for Participants’ found at www.acts.asn.au before completing this application form. Extensive information and guidance on all the questions, that will assist you to complete this form, are included. Please note that submission of this form indicates acceptance of the Awards rules. The rules can be found at the end of this document and in the ‘Guidance Notes for Participants. You may demonstrate or include: An application of new technology, process or approach The new application of an existing product, technology or service Demonstrating leadership in communicating your initiative ENGAGEMENT/COMMUNICATION In no more than 400 words, please describe how people were engaged with the initiative and/or how the initiative was communicated. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Entries must be submitted using the official Green Gown Awards Australasia 2012 application form. Applications must be submitted electronically, along with general details, via the online submission form at http://www.acts.asn.au/index.php/2012-ggaa-application/ All sections must be completed and word limits adhered to. Whilst it is accepted that some overlap is inevitable, activities which have formed the basis of previous winning or commended entries will be given less weight than others. Entries that have previously won an Award are not eligible for re-submission unless they can demonstrate significant changes/improvement since the last submission. If you have won an award previously please ensure you state that you have along with the year and category you won for. If you have accompanying data to support your nomination please limit to a maximum of five pages or provide website links to the relevant information, preferably within the relevant text. Include the supporting document name and page number on the nomination form (where relevant in the text). Please note that judges will have limited time so ensure all necessary information is contained within the application form itself. Judges are not obliged to read ANY supporting material. Please do not send hardcopy supporting documentation. The Awards organisers will aim to provide generic feedback on unsuccessful applications. However this cannot be guaranteed and specific feedback will not be provided under any circumstances. The closing date for entries is 12:00 noon on Friday 27 July 2012. Unless otherwise stated, it is assumed that applicants accept that their applications will be in the public domain. Unless otherwise stated, it is assumed that applicants will allow the Awards organisers to use applications and materials provided for publicity and marketing purposes. Examples include the winner’s brochure and promoting the shortlisted institutions. All applicants agree to take part in post event Green Gown Awards Australasia promotion and best practice dissemination. Successful applicants agree to produce a winner’s video, where possible, for international dissemination. They also agree to take part in dissemination events or webinars if required. All winning applicants agree for their application to be passed on for inclusion in an ‘International Green Gown Awards’ if their category is represented. To be announced at the UK Green Gown Award Ceremony in the UK in November 2012. On submission of the application form you must complete the marketing information and accompanying material. This information will be used for marketing purposes only and will have no bearing on your application. The Awards organisers reserve the right to a) refuse an entry if the rules have not been met and b) audit applications to ensure that claims made are fully justified. The Awards organiser’s decisions are final and no correspondence or appeal will be entered into. Reliable contact details must be given in case the judges and/or organisers have any queries about the application. If contact is unable to be established the Awards organisers reserve the right to not shortlist an application. Entries will be accepted from any legal entity within the tertiary education sector in Australasia. However you must be an ACTS member to be a nominee and/or vote for the ACTS Award of Excellence.
