There was a farmer who had an elephant. The elephant worked very
hard for him. One day a tiger saw the farmer and the elephant working. The
tiger was surprised to see a big animal listening to a small animal. The tiger
wanted to know more about the elephant and farmer.
After the farmer went home, the tiger spoke to the elephant , “ You are
so big and strong. Why do you do everything that the farmer tell you?” The
elephant answered, “ Oh, the farmer is very smart.” The tiger didn‘t believe
what the elephant said. He went to see the farmer, and asked him, “ Are you
really smart?” The farmer answered, “ I have to go back home to get something
to let you know that I am smart. But I am afraid you will kill my elephant when
I go back home.” Then he asked to tie (綁) the tiger up. After the man tied the
tiger up, he didn’t go home. He hit the tiger and said, “ Now you know that I am
smart.”
