Encyclopedia of Appalachia Published 2006 Wrote two articles about prominent Appalachian musicians Patsy Cline and Raymond Fairchild. Interviews and Nominations for Smithsonian Folklife Festival Conducted three audio and video interviews of prospective participants (Sheila Adams, Clyde Hollilfield, Reed Murphy) in the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC, and wrote nomination forms for each person. Ballad singer Sheila Adams was chosen for the festival. 2002 Publication in NC Folklore Journal Winter/Spring 1995 Publication of “Family Tradition, Orality, and Cultural Intervention in Sodom Laurel Ballad Singing” in The North Carolina Folklore Journal.
