INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
Domain : Embedded Networks
Title :
Embedded Networks
With the increasing complexity of embedded networks and the expansion of exchanged data quantity, making the right design decisions to guarantee the system’s requirements becomes a difficult task for designer. Hence, it becomes one of the major challenges in the design process to analyze the system’s characteristics as soon as possible during the development cycle.
The aim of WoPANets ( W orst case P erformance A nalysis of embedded Net work s ) Tool is to offer an ergonomic interface for the designer to describe graphically the network and the circulating traffic and to analyze the worst case performances of such proposal using the Network Calculus theory. However, the designer is confronted to a large design space due to the large number of variable system’s parameters.
To cope with this large design space, optimization analysis would be interesting to reduce the exploration space size and to give optimal solutions according to the designer criteria (costs, temporal behavior, safety…).
Hence, the aim of this internship is:
First, to develop the Optimization Analyzer with different approaches and algorithms
Second, The integration of this process within WoPANets GUI
Finally, to validate these analysis in the case of a realistic real time application
30 % Theoretical Research 70 % Applied Research 100 % Experimental Research
Possibility to go on a Ph.D.: No
