Hello fellow TNT Team alumni!
Its that time of year to start planning for your summer and fall fitness goals! Based on popular
demand and for the first time ever, we are incorporating the NYC Triathlon into our PwC team
roster of events! As you recall from prior years, as a member of the PwC corporate team you are
entitled to participate in the group fund-raising efforts and allocations provided you make certain
minimum commitments to the team efforts (selling raffle tickets, helping to organize events, etc.). The
past two years have been a great success and we expect 2011 to be even better!
If you are interested in the Nautica NYC Triathlon on August 7th, 2011 or if you just want
to say hello to your fellow alumni, please come to the TNT info session being held at 6pm on
March 1st at 300 Madison, room 22109. Please see the flyer attached for further
information. TNT representatives will be on hand to answer any and all of your questions! Also, if you
are interested in any of the upcoming fall events listed below, we will be having another info session in
late April/early May for those events.
Please also spread the word to your colleagues and friends/family about these events and info
sessions! Lastly, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or Cindy
Gavin. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you on March 1st!

Greetings Future and Returning Tri-Athletes, Marathoners, and Cyclists.
When I joined TNT three years ago, my mentor had a general rule. He said if you didn’t write about
your experience and share it with others, then it’s as if though it never happened. I’ve adopted that
rule. Attached is the write up from my first Olympic distance race which took place in Austin, Texas.
I hope to read your story at the end of your journey.
For the repeaters, you already know how rewarding the experience is – for the cause and for you
personally – and that’s why you’ve returned.
For those of you that have committed and started fundraising – Go Team! I’ll see you during
practices.
For those of you still on the fence and undecided, I hope this inspires and motivates you to register.
It’s not too late.
Regards,
Norma Lopez

Welcome to the Deloitte TNT Team!
Endure for a cure!
Welcome Deloitte TNT participants!
I must first thank each and every one of you for taking the first step in this journey – signing up! As the national
Deloitte Team captain, I am thrilled to say we are 135 members strong! If you are new to TNT, you might be a
little nervous about what you got yourself into, but I am willing to bet that in just a month’s time you will already
see growth in yourself, your fitness abilities, and your fundraising account!  This email contains important
information to make your season a success. Please read it thoroughly and save it for future reference.

Save the date Friday, Feb 25 at 1:00 pm EST! First TEAM webcast!
This webcast will contain training tips, a nutrition overview, and fundraising ideas! I’ll send a meeting request
with LiveMeeting details shortly, but block it on your calendar now.
Let’s FUNdraise!
Other than getting lots of physical activity under your belt, the most important reason to participate in TNT is to
raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! See how the word “fundraise” starts with “fun”? That’s not
a coincidence! Here are five things you should get started with right now if you haven’t already:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Customize your personal fundraising page
Draft a general email template that can be sent to any audience
Customize the email template for individuals or groups and send out to everyone you know!
Add your personal fundraising page to social networking sites & email signatures. Use this website for
fun pictures and logos.
Brainstorm ideas for fundraising event(s) & possible venues and start planning!
The sooner you get started, the easier it is to reach and surpass your fundraising goal!!
Get to know your teammates!
Even though we are spread out across the country, we can still network and get to know each other! Please do
the following two items:
1.
Fill out the attached “Look Book” power point slide and send it back to me by Friday, Feb 20th! See
mine as an example!
2.
Converse on the TNT page on DeloitteNet! You can comment on another person’s post directly from
the TNT site. To leave a new comment:
a. Go to “My DeloitteNet” & enter your text in the “Write Something” box
b. Include the “#TNTcure” hashtag after your comment so it posts to the TNT page.
3.
Use the conversations feed all through the season as a forum for questions, words of encouragement,
training advice, or anything else you want to share!
Recruit!
I just learned that we are only eight participants shy of being the largest corporate team this season! Talk up
TNT to your colleagues – I know there are more than eight Deloitters out there who would participate! Have
your interested friends get in touch with me, your local team captain (if applicable), or your local TNT staff if they
need more information and for the registration form.
Other notes
Keep your eye out for future emails from me, although I’ll keep them limited since I know the local TNT staff
does a great job of communicating. A survey will be coming out soon – please reply promptly, and be on the
lookout for a Marathon Training Log to arrive via interoffice mail to all signed up for a running event. I am here
for any questions/comments/concerns – please reach out and say hello! Thank you!
Sincerely,
Your national team captain & fellow teammate
Amanda Esposito

Hello Fellow GS TNT Alumni!
We’ve all trained for TNT events, completed fundraising commitments, and crossed finish lines. What better way
to celebrate our successes than to do it all over again, as a GS team? To those of you who have wondered, “why
doesn’t GS have a TNT corporate team?”, the answer is, now we do! We are forming the first ever GS team, and
we want invite you to the party!
We are hosting an information session with the ever-so-friendly-and-helpful TNT staff on June 2 at 5pm at 200
West and would love to see you! While TNT is training for a wide variety of events this upcoming fall season (can
believe we’re already looking ahead to fall?), we thought the GS team could focus on three: The Hamptons half
and full marathons and the ING NYC full marathon.
Please accept the attached meeting request if you can come, and if you can’t no worries – let us know and we can
put you in touch with the LLS coordinators. Also, please help us spread the word to your colleagues and running
buddies. See attached flier for more information.
Have a great day, and GO TEAM!
All the best,
Candace Davies and Lisa Fund
