We are excited about your interest in applying for our 2016 Scholarship. Our organization is committed to
providing service and support to deserving students in our Central Texas community. One of our goals this
year is to award $10,000.00 in scholarship money to high school seniors from schools within the Killeen,
Copperas Cove, Belton, and Temple communities. Please mail your completed application packet to our
post office box by March 11, 2016. You will be contacted by phone to schedule an interview if your
application packet was selected. A letter will be sent to notify you of the final results. Thank you for giving

Application Packet: Completed Application, Typed Essay, Letters of Recommendation, Transcript,
and Documentation of Community Service Hours.
Essay Topics (select one):
1) Why should community service be valued?
2) Upon high school graduation, how do you plan to contribute back to your community?
Essay Guidelines: Typed only, 1 ½ pages, Doubled Spaced, 12 PT, Arial or Times New Roman Font
The title page should include your full name and the name of your high school.
Recommendation Letters (2): Submit a letter from a person within your community (neighbor, pastor, etc.)
and a letter from someone at your school (teacher, counselor, etc.).
Transcript: Submit your current high school transcript. The transcript should be stamped, sealed, or signed
by your school’s registrar.
Community Service Hours: Provide signed documentation of community service hours.
