This course is designed to look at and understand what is church
marketing? What is church marketing and how can it help my
church ministry? The student will learn how to maximize the
dollars they have in the budget without spending all of the money
on one project. The student will learn how to build your marketing
strategy or strategies and obtain the Cadillac return on your
investment.
102. Starting a Christian Education Ministry:
Christian Education is that ministry that undergirds all other
ministries of the church. Christian Education Ministry involves the
administration and coordination of programs and/or strategies to
facilitate the spiritual growth of discipleship of believers into Christlikeness.
A church needs to develop, describe, explain and
illustrate the specific function and a sound philosophy for Christian
education based on the Word of God. This class will focus on the
organizational skills that are necessary to start and maintain
ministry.
103. Christian Education for Licensed Ministers
Licensed ministers are needed in many capacities of the church.
It’s more than waiting for your Sunday to preach. It is vitally
important to teach young ministers that ministry is more than
preaching. This course will focus on how to strategically position,
assimilate, minister within the ministries of the church.
104. Using Learning Styles to Reach Everyone God Gave You to
Teach
This class will focus on understanding how students learn so you
can adjust your teaching to their learning styles. When this
adjustment is made, your students learn and are enthusiastic
about it. Planning for students’ learning styles will enable you to
begin reaching everyone (children, teens and adults) God gave you
to teach. Christian Educators will analyze parables of Jesus to see
how His teachings followed the process of learning styles.
105. How to teach within the Christian Church?
Teaching is sharing not only through instructions but planning
ahead to communicate with minds, hearts, spirts and souls that are
not only like but those who are different in their perception, train
of thought and interpretation of information. A teacher must take
information and put it within teachable thoughts and communicate
it in such a way that the learner is influenced in such a way that
the lessons learn is applied to everyday life. The teacher must
plane to succeed not just envision success. The teacher must take
into account their personal teaching style, preparation, plan and
execution of information.
106. How to Recruit New Teachers within the Christian
Church?
With the ever changing culture and context within the Christian
church it is necessary to reach out and reach within the body of
Christ to recruit new teachers. Every church should have a plan in
place to staff, train, teach and recruit new servant teachers.
Beginning with a needs assessment, surveying the membership and
becoming proactive in the recruitment process for future grow and
not just the present. This course will give insights into the
importance of inviting potential teachers to a plane recruitment
seminar, training session and a small intimate dinner explaining
the need for new teachers, calling for new teachers and the
importance of adding new teachers to the staff.
107. Organizing The Christian Education Ministry with Purpose
In this course, the pastor and students will envision and study the
course of action involved in the organization, administration, and
supervision of the programs of Christian education in his or her
local church. What is Christian Education? Why should the
church organize around Christian Education? What is the Pastor
responsibility? The course will involve a study of the Christian
education curriculums that can be used for the work of the
ministry.
108. Teaching Christian Education and Practical Models for
Children Ministry
This course is designed to instruct children’s ministry leaders in
ways to cultivate, develop, strengthen and direct innovative
programs within the church, in order to meet the needs of children.
The work of children’s ministry should be so planned that children
may develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
109. Reenergizing the Christian Education Ministry through
Reinvigorated Teachers, Maybe It Is About You!
“Maybe it is About You” is part 1 of a series designed to
reenergize teachers who have a comfortable teaching routine but
who want to be more effective and passionate about their calling.
This class of introspection and reflection focuses on YOU the
teacher and how you can respond with renewed passion to this
awesome call of God to teach his people. One day about YOU will
lead to even greater days about HIM!!!!
110. Preparing for the C.O. Jackson Oratorical Contest:
Making it BETTER!
This workshop is designed for District Oratorical Advisors,
Oratorical Coaches, and interested contest participants (Graduating
High School Seniors, Rising College Freshmen, Sophomores, and
Juniors). The facilitator will share the history/purpose of the
contest, plans for preliminary contestants, requirements for
eligibility, topics for speeches (theme), time limit, responsibilities of
the judges, filling out personal data sheet, awards, and the official
scoring sheet/items that the contestant will be judged on.
The
facilitator will also share ideas for motivating and inspiring the
youth of our congregations to participate in oratorical contests
sponsored by our State Congress of Christian Education.
111. Leadership for Church Growth
This course will be designed to inform the students of principals,
techniques and skills that the Christian education ministry can use
to encourage holistic church growth. This course will look at
leadership for church growth and biblical models. Why church
growth? Why church growth holistically? This course will also
describe how the Christian Education ministry can work with all
ministries for growth to take place in the local church.
112. The Director’s Role in Christian Education
What is Christian Education? What is the Pastor’s role in Christian
Education? What is the pew role in Christian Education? What is
the purpose of the Director? The objective of this lesson is to
describe, explain and illustrate the specific function of those who
pilot the efforts of Christian education in the local church.
Christian Education coupled with the vision of the pastor is
necessary for total church edification. This class will focus on the
organizational skills that are necessary to accomplish the Christian
Education mission effectively.
