A long time ago in ancient Greece there was a queen called Persia who lived in a very tall castle at the top Mount Olympus. There was a big problem because her daughter got lost on the Island of Crete. The earth started to shake and suddenly the Centaur appeared and snatched her away to a cave. To make matters worse there was also a catastrophe in Aethra. A fire blowing monster that lived on human flesh had all the people terrified. It was eating villagers every day. The sad queen was looking down from her palace. She commanded her servants to get the great, strong, mighty hero Odysseus. Odysseus arranged to rescue the queen’s daughter but before he left he had to kill the terrible fire blowing monster. He cut its head off with one mighty blow. Odysseus’s journey was not easy. There came a terrible storm and it blew Odysseus into the underworld. After that he met Hades the god of the underworld. Odysseus was scared because the underworld was gloomy and dark. Hades heard how Odysseus needed to save the Princess and luckily he let him go. Odysseus searched and searched for the cave. Eventually he found it. Suddenly the Centaur appeared and crept up behind Odysseus. They started to have a fight. They fought for three whole days and nights and then Odysseus fell to the ground exhausted. The Centaur roared in victory. But the Centaur was in for a surprise. The god of life shot an arrow at Odysseus. Thankfully he came back to live again. Then Odysseus thanked the gods and it took many days to get to the cave. Odysseus hoped he wasn’t too late. With a mighty swing of his sword he chopped off his head and killed the Centaur. The queen was so happy because her daughter was brought home safely. The whole town celebrated the death of the monsters and the rescue of the princess Odysseus was rewarded with gold and silver for his bravery.
