PARTICIPATION OF NONPUBLIC STUDENTS IN DISTRICT
COURSES/PROGRAMS
Residents of the Friess Lake School District enrolled in a private school; parochial school
or home-based private educational program may participate in public school courses,
programs or activities as follows:
1. A nonpublic school student may participate in District classes or programs
when specifically required by law (e.g. special education).
2. A nonpublic school student may participate in the District’s band and chorus
classes and athletic activities as follows:

The student is a resident of the Friess Lake School District.
The student is eligible for admission into the school.
There is sufficient space in the classroom/program.
The student complies with the rules of the Wisconsin Interscholastic
Athletic Association (WIAA).[Applies to athletics]
e. Other guidelines as established by the School Board may apply.
Transportation to and from the District course, program or activity shall be the
responsibility of the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s), except as otherwise specifically
provided.
