It never ceases to amaze me at how quickly the days, weeks and terms fly by, the 3 rd September only seems like yesterday. I would like to thank everyone for their support of the various events so far this year:
We raised £131.00 on Jeans for Genes Day.
MacMillan Coffee Morning raised the grand total of
£240.00.
Harvest Festival gifts, we have received lovely thank you letters from local residents.
Grandparents who had lunch with us on 16 October donated over £83.00..

Talent Show
This Friday 25 th October at 1.30 pm.
If you would like to watch the array of talents – dancing, singing, magic on show this Friday then please join us from 1.30 pm.
4 November Training Day
Just a reminder that school is closed on Monday 4 th reopens on Tuesday 5
November and th November at
8.50 am.
Travelling Book Fair 13 – 18
November
Next half term will be equally busy with the usual Pantomime, Christmas
Productions, Parties, as well as the
Sponsored Swim. Separate letters will be distributed regarding each of these activities.
New Member of Staff
Once again the Travelling Book Fair will be open in school from 8.30am –
8.50am and 3.20pm – 4.00pm between Wednesday 13 th November and Monday 18 th November, more details will follow nearer the time.
Children in Need Day
Friday 15 th November is Children in
Need Day. We will of course make this a non-uniform day (£1 Donation please). There will be cake stalls games and activities taking place all day. We would be grateful for donations of cakes, biscuits etc. on the day. Can I ask that the children bring a maximum of £1 to spend on games and cakes (in addition to the
£1 for non-uniform)
Open Morning
On Friday 22 November we will be holding an Open Morning between
9.30 – 11.30 am. This morning will give parents a chance to experience and join in with the work in the classrooms.
Christmas Productions at the
Galtres Centre
This year there will be three
Christmas productions at the
Galtres Centre on the evening of 12 th
December. More details regarding the production times, costumes etc will be available after half term.
Christmas Shoe Box Appeal
Just a reminder that completed
Shoe Boxes should be brought into school during the week beginning 5 th
November.
School Uniform
A number of parents have enquired about purchasing the blue hoodies similar to those worn by the school sports teams. There will be an option to do this on the next uniform order. However the hoodies are for outdoor use and are not intended to replace the school sweatshirts and cardigans. Could you please ensure all uniform is named.
Christingle in Church –
Monday 16 th December
We will be holding a Christingle in
St. Mary’s Church on Monday 16 th
December at 2.00 pm. We will be asking the children to bring an orange into school on the day and we will provide the cocktail sticks and sweets for the Christingles. Once again parents, grandparents and relatives are more than welcome to join us on the afternoon.

A letter with details of this year’s pantomime has been distributed.
There will of course be more details and reminders of the arrangements nearer the time.
