TEACHING SUGGESTIONS
1. Have the students write the names of the motions on the worksheet from a description of their
purposes. There is a randomized list of the names for the students of all the motions used for
this teaching package on the next page. They are all taken from Robert’s Rules of Order Newly
Revised.
2. Use the key provided to correct the worksheet.
3. Provide the word-search puzzle for students to circle the names of the motions. Note that many of
the vowels are missing. They should fill those in before circling the name of each motion. The first
motion is circled on the puzzle (on the bottom) to get the students started.
4. Use the key provided and correct the word-search puzzle.
5. Administer the matching test.
6. Use the key provided to correct the matching test. Note that there are 25 answers, so each item
can have a value of 4 points to obtain a percent score
