Institute for Molecular Diversity and Drug Design (IMD3) Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships Three IMD3 Summer Research Fellowships are available for talented students to work with IMD3 associated faculty. The stipend of each fellowship consists of $1500 from IMD3 funds to be matched by $1500 from the Mentor’s resources for a total of $3000. Directions and deadlines for these 10-12 week Fellowships are stated below. The criteria for the selection of IMD3 Summer Research Fellows established earlier are: 1) Mentor must be an IMD3 faculty member. 2) Priority given to undergraduate students with excellent credentials (e.g., G.P.A.). 3) Originality of the research proposal and goals developed by the student and Mentor. 4) Relationship of project to the interdisciplinary mission of IMD3. 5) Commitment by the Mentor of financial support (e.g. grant, contract) of the research project and 50% matching funds for Fellowship stipend. (IMD3 Fellowship does not include tuition) Materials to be submitted: 1) Applicant’s personal statement regarding career goals and impact of the proposed project and the Summer Fellowship on their academic interests. 2) Applicant’s Resume. 3) GPA and Transcript (unofficial copy is acceptable if printed from the university’s website). 4) Description of the research project to be conducted and significance of the research goals.
