歐洲近代早期文化史專題（碩博士班 99-1）

課程目標: 本課程將介紹歐洲近代早期文化史研究中極具影響力的作品，以使研
究生熟悉此一領域的重要議題與史家，同時也培養學生閱讀、討論與
批判的能力。
課程要求：
1. 須閱讀每週指定之閱讀資料，並積極參與討論。
2. 建議學生修課前可先閱讀以下作品，以瞭解歐洲文化史研究的發展：
(1) Ernst Gombrich’s “In Search of Cultural History,” in his Ideals and
Idols: Essays on Values in History and in Art (1979).
(2) Peter Burke’s What is Cultural History (2004).
3. 本課程與「身體與文明研究中心」的讀書會合作，學生每月有一次
上課時間為週五下午 4:00-6:00，請選課同學務必注意。閱讀書目
為：Pierre Bourdieu, Distinction: A Social Critique of the Judgement of
Taste, trans. Richard Nice (1984), pp. 1-96.學期結束後，仍歡迎同學繼
續參加。
4. 論文：學生需以歐洲文化史為範疇撰寫論文，論文格式需符合學術
規範，字數以一萬字為限。繳交時間為 1 月 31 日，逾期不收。
評量方式：
1. 課程參與課堂報告：50 %
2. 論文：50 %
