VIET NAM PACKAGE TOUR 9D8N Visit: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay – Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Mekong Delta DAY 1: HANOI – ARRIVAL (--/--/--) On your arrival at the Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and driver who will bring you to Hanoi City. Hanoi is over 1000 years old and is currently the capital of Vietnam as well the commercial, political, and cultural heart of the country. Check in hotel and free at leisure. After that, you are free to explore on your own or take it easy and relax in your hotel room. Overnight in Hanoi. DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (B/L/D) A city tour of Hanoi starts with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (from outside), His House on-stilts, OnePillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature - built in October 1073 to worship Confucius and considered to be the first university in Vietnam. After lunch time, we will then drive to Hoan Kiem Lake where you will see Ngoc Son Temple which worships Van Xuong saint and Tran Hung Dao, a former general commander. Later in the afternoon, you will get a chance to enjoy a 1-hour cyclo ride around the 36 streets in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG – NIGHT AT HOTEL (B/L/D) We leave Hanoi in morning and travel to the astonishing and mystical Ha Long Bay which is described by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is one of the most beautiful places in the region. Located in the Gulf of Tonkin, it is an spectacular collection of 2,000 islands covering an area in excess of 1,500km. This forms a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars and cliff faces. On arrival at noon time, we embark on the junk and take the 4-hour cruise on the Bay. The cruise take us to visit the Dau Do Cave (grotto of the wooden stakes) and then the stunning Thien Cung cave (Heavenly Palace Cave). Return to the wharf and take a short drive back to hotel in Halong City for check-in. Spend the night at hotel in Halong City. DAY 4: HALONG BAY – HANOI – DEPARTURE – HOI AN (B/BRUNCH/D) After breakfast, we check out hotel and take the drive back to Hanoi. Stop on the way to visit Bat Trang Ceramic Village (if time’s permited). Then transfer to Noi Bai Airport for your departure flight to Da Nang. On your arrival at Da Nang Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and driver who will take you to Hoi An, another UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. After checking into the hotel, free at leisure or discover the ancient town sparkled by lanterns at night. Spend the night in Hoi An. DAY 5: HOI AN CITY TOUR (B/L/D) After breakfast, You will take a half-day tour of this beautiful ancient town with the visit to the Chinese Assembly Halls, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the old family houses all of which have been sensitively preserved. DAY 6: HOI AN – HO CHI MINH (B/L/D) After having breakfast, you are free at leisure till check-out (the check-out time is at noon). Take the transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for the departure flight to Ho Chi Minh. Upon your arrival at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport you will be picked up and transferred to check into your hotel (early check-in is subject to the hotel’s availability). Being the heart and soul of South Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh is a bustling, dynamic and industrious city. It is not only the largest city but also the economic capital and trendsetter of Vietnam. In the afternoon, the HCM tour starts with a visit to the imposing Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat). Pass by classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate City Hall (hotel de ville). Next we will go to the Notre Dame Cathedral, the most famous landmark in Vietnam as the twin bell towers can be seen from a long distance. In the same square is the famous Saigon Post Office, the largest functioning post office in Vietnam. What makes this Post Office so extraordinary is that it was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel who also designed and built the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty. It is a building not to be missed. Afterwards dive into modern history with a tour of the Reunification Palace. Formerly the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, this 60s style uwas famously stormed by tanks on April 30, 1975 signifying the fall of South Vietnam. It has been preserved in its original state, and the original tanks remain on display near the entrance gates. Continue to the harrowing War remnants museum, which comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam- American War. Inside are detailed photographic exhibitions; outside is a collection of tanks, planes and weapons. A powerful experience, this museum is guaranteed to provoke strong emotions. DAY 7: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR & CU CHI TUNNELS (B/L/D) After breakfast, you will take the drive to the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City for a visit to the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels, a well-known historical vestige of the Vietnamese revolution. As a distinctive architecture, this cobweb-like tunnel complex is a network of underground dug-outs of over 200 kilometers long, consisting of many layers and turnings with meeting, living and fighting quarters where we learn the first hand how the Viet Cong survived the extraordinary underground existence during the Vietnam War. In the afternoon, we head out to Cho Lon (Chinatown). Explore the highlights of this fascinating area, beginning with a brief visit to Binh Tay Market, the vast wholesale market selling every kind of goods. Continue to visit Thien Hau Temple, build by the Cantonese congregation and dedicated to the heavenly goddess. Vinh Trang Pagoda is a Buddhist temple near My Tho in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. It is one of the best-known temples in the region. The beautiful structure features a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Angkor (Cambodian) architectural styles. The pagoda consists of five buildings, two ornamental yards and 178 pillars. The extremely beautiful structures in the pagoda are two triumphal arches bearing an art of inserting bottle and porcelain fragments which create harmonious pictures illustrating the Buddha’s legendaries.
