Pay:
$13/hour starting wage commences after 4 days (Mon-Thurs) of
training/trial working period is completed.
Hours:
3 days/21 hours per week between Monday and Thursday 9:30 am
to 5:00 pm. No Friday hours generally.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Work closely with Company Director Rosi Amador in administration,
scheduling, marketing, billing, phone and email communications and public
relations duties for Amador Bilingual Voiceovers and Sol y Canto. Occasionally
record, edit and upload voiceover audio, for which you will receive training.
SKILLS NEEDED: We are looking for a detail-oriented, customer-friendly
individual with excellent communication skills, previous marketing experience
and multi-tasking capacity. The primary language used in our office and studio
is English, with occasional incoming calls and emails in Spanish; a bilingual
candidate fluent in both English and Spanish is preferred. If necessary, you will
be taught the skills of audio recording, editing and delivery.
You will work on a wide variety of administrative and marketing projects for a
professional voiceover production company and touring music ensemble,
including:
Administrative Tasks:
Customer service, maintaining detailed voiceover (VO) recording logs and
contact databases, invoicing, communicating with VO talent producers and
arts/cultural programmers to pursue engagements (via phone, Web and e-mail),
updating and creating online VO profiles and demos, fielding phone calls, email
and mail for VO and music performance requests, show advancing, performance
scheduling, CD and audiobook order fulfillment, maintaining inventory, office
supplies and equipment. You will also supervise and train student interns.
Marketing Tasks:
Creating and updating marketing email and social media posts and campaigns,
writing copy for and designing flyers and postcards, composing press releases,
completing email press mailings; researching prospective buyers on the Internet;
assisting with client prospecting, identifying potential clients online and
contacting them by e-mail and telephone to introduce our company's services.
Client Support and Engineering/Editing for Voiceovers
Assistant will train with Engineer/Executive Assistant Joan Bishop for 4 days
and work closely with Company Director Rosi Amador in servicing VO clients.
Will communicate and trouble-shoot with existing clients, set up business and
personal appointments for company director, and provide publicity support and
information as needed. Assistant will also engineer and edit VO recordings and
match output with client technical needs.

Skills Necessary: Excellent oral and written skills in English a must. Fluency in
Spanish strongly preferred though not required. Must be comfortable with Apple
OS and have some familiarity with Microsoft Office for Mac, Filemaker Pro,
Excel, iTunes, iMovie, and preferably with recording software (we use Digital
Performer 7). Multi-tasking ability is critical: must be able to stay on top of
several projects at once and meet deadlines; a high level of organization is
imperative. Must enjoy working with people; be friendly, independent, selfmotivated, energetic, highly detail-oriented, have excellent customer service
skills, be reliable, empathetic, intuitive, optimistic and great on the phone.
Reliability and punctuality a must. A positive attitude, flexibility, arts
administration, sales and marketing/communication experience strongly
preferred. Audio recording and editing experience a plus.
What you can expect:
Learn all aspects of the voiceover business. Rosi and Brian Amador are
professional VO actors voicing a wide range of productions including: radio and
tv commercials, documentaries, children’s audio books, health/medical, hightech, and eLearning. You will learn to pursue, contract and service VO clients
and arts presenters and to book and manage a professional music ensemble.
Skills you will be learning and applying include: business management for a
career in voiceovers, administration, sales, public relations, promotion, booking
and marketing. This job puts you in constant contact with the field, from preand post-production companies and recording studios to ad agencies, arts
presenters (organizations that present music, including fine arts centers,
universities, folk organizations, museums, festivals, schools and multicultural
special event organizers) and individual ticket-buyers for concerts. Work in a
comfortable, friendly home office in North Cambridge.
