ADULT CAT

- Neutered a dult cat

"The vast majority of adult cats who are given medical care and who are fed with a veterinary food, are neutered.

Neutering predisposes adult cats to two major risks: overweight/obesity and lower urinary tract diseases, in particular with the formation of urinary stones."

INDICATIONS

Neutered adult cat , from 1 to 10 years old.

Constipation

Diabetes

COUNTER INDICATIONS

Growing cat

Gestating and lactating queen

Chronic renal failure

INGREDIENTS

Dehydrated meat (minimum duck content 4 % in adult cat with duck) and fish

(minimum salmon content 4 % in adult cat with salmon), cooked cereals, animal fats, maize proteins, bean pods, powdered egg, linseed, vegetable fibre, oil-removed soybeans, DL-methionine, sea salt, fructo-oligosaccharides, taurine, borage oil, powdered artichoke, L-carnitine, minerals, trace-elements and vitamins. With antioxidants: EC additives.

NUTRITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS

Low

High energy density limits calorie intake while maintaining a sufficient ration. protein contribution and their high quality, contribute to maintaining muscle mass.

The low glucidic index of starch sources helps stabilize glycaemia.

The reinforced contribution in soluble and insoluble food fibres contributes to satiety, regulates the digestion of sugars and hence glycaemia, stimulates intestinal transit and fights against hairballs and constipation.

Richness in vitamin E and selenium , an anti-oxidant complex, protects against cell ageing.

HEALTH BENEFITS

Weight and glucose regulation

– L-carnitine + Chrome + Zinc + Biotin

L-carnitine facilitates the metabolism of fatty acids, it thus curbs deposits of fatty tissue and helps prevent excess weight. Combining chrome, zinc and biotin – a cofactor complex of insulin

– helps regulate glucose in the blood and curbs the risk of insulin resistance. Chrome increases the number of active insulin receptors and thus enhance insulin activity. Zinc fosters the storage of insulin in its active form.

Biotin (vitamin B8) regulates the hepatic metabolism of glucose and thus reduces the strain on the pancreas, which produces the insulin.

Urinary health

– Cynarine (artichoke powder) + DL-methionine

Cynarine, extracted from artichoke leaves, dilutes urine and reduces the risk of crystals. DL-methionine, a sulphur amino acid, contributes to the normal acidification

of urine, maintaining urinary pH within the physiological norms and limiting the risk of disorders of the lower urinary tract.

Healthy skin and shiny coat

– essential fatty acids

Omega 6 and Omega 3 essential fatty acids are major components of skin integrity.

They are responsible for the barrier function of the epidermis and regulate the quality of the sebaceous secretions that make a cat’s coat shine and look nice. With an optimal 6/3 ratio equal to 5, they regulate inflammatory phenomena.
