From the back of Fletcher (parking lot behind Blakeley), take a left onto Curtis and walk down the
street for 5-10 minutes. You will then be in Teele Square.

publicsafety.tufts.edu/adminsvc/?pid=6 for timetable and more information.
To Ball Square
If coming from Powderhouse, walk around Powderhouse Sq. and continue on Broadway a couple
blocks. Or, from the north side of campus, walk straight down Boston Avenue until it intersects with
Broadway. Or take the 80 bus from the corner of Boston and Winthrop (from the Tufts side), one
stop past Powderhouse.
To Porter Square
Either take the T one stop from Davis, or take the 96 bus from the corner of Boston and Winthrop.
To Harvard Square
Same directions as to Porter Square but one more stop on the T, or go to the end of the 96 bus line.

NEW YORK CITY
The cheapest and arguably most convenient way of getting to New York City is by bus. A one-way trip
from Boston to New York takes approximately 4 hours.
Option 1: Bolt Bus (WiFi and electrical outlets!)
A new, popular option departing from Boston’s South Station is Bolt Bus, which offers free WiFi,
electrical outlets, and reserved seating. Prices will vary depending on capacity and booking date;
overall, one-way tickets range from $5 (for special deals) to $20. Bolt Bus also offers a frequent rider
program. For tickets and information, call 1-877-265-8287 or visit www.boltbus.com.
Option 2: Fung Wah Transportation Bus
There are several bus operators that provide service from South Station, Boston to the New York Bus
Station. The Fung Wah bus service runs daily and prices range from $20-45 roundtrip. (There has
been some debate on the quality of their service – ask around for updates.) Online purchases have a
5% service fee; all prices are one-way; and all tickets purchased online are non-refundable and nonexchangeable. For tickets and information, call (617) 345-8000 or visit www.fungwahbus.com.
Option 3: MegaBus (free WiFi)
Megabus is very similar to Bolt Bus. The earlier you book your tickets, the better. For tickets and
information, call 1-877-GO2-MEGA (1-877-462-6342) or visit http://us.megabus.com/
Option 4: Greyhound/Peter Pan
The Greyhound/Peter Pan bus service to New York costs $20 one-way and $40 round-trip. To
purchase tickets, visit www.greyhound.com. Students can catch the Greyhound/Peter Pan bus to
New York from four stops at Boston-area universities: Harvard, MIT, BU and Northeastern.
Option 5: Amtrak
Amtrak offers service from Boston's South Station to New York's Penn Station. Coach class is
around $100 one-way for the ACELA express service. For tickets and more information, phone 1800-USA-RAIL or visit www.amtrak.com.
TUFTS SHUTTLE TO BOSTON
Tufts offers a shuttle to take students into Boston on Friday and Saturday nights.
The shuttle runs from 9pm to 3am and stops at the Campus Center, the
Boylston T-stop, and the Kenmore T-stop. Students can board the shuttle at
the Campus Center every hour on the hour with the last drop-off at 3am. The
shuttle stops at Boylston at 25 past the hour (2:25am last pickup) and at Kenmore at 35 past the hour
(2:35am last pickup). A Tufts ID required to board. Transportation is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For
more information on general transportation in Boston and Tufts’ shuttles, please visit
