Willow Weaving Workshop with Barbara Guy Long and Cheryl Hendrickson fall 2013 A two day class and hands-on willow weaving course with Barbara Guy Long and Cheryl Hendrickson will be held at the LandSaga willow nursery at Ignatius Centre in Guelph in the fall of 2013. Cost is $185. plus GST for two days, which includes materials, lunch and snacks. Participants will reweave the Living Room willow dome, originally woven in 2002-03, which has been a cherished place of reverie for many visitors to Ignatius. Classroom: Barbara Guy Long will give a short talk on the history of willow wattle weave, a slide presentation showing her uses of willow wattle weave in the landscape, and video of the original weaving of the Living Room in 2002. Cheryl Hendrickson will speak on the LandSaga nursery and hybrid willow development in Canada, growing willow, how they are used to clean up soil and groundwater, and other environmental applications.
