VERY IMPORTANT
By entering an animal in this sale you are agreeing to accept the decision of the Society’s official
Inspector as to whether or not your animal/s is/are suitable for this particular Show/Sale.
You are also agreeing and acknowledging that he/she will be subject to a very strict inspection by
the Society’s official Inspector and the official Inspector’s decision will be final.
- All animals must be DNA TYPED for sire verification. Hair samples will be taken by the Inspector at time
of Inspection. (From those bulls not already DNA typed). Cost of DNA is €20. Animals failing sire
verification, even though they may have passed inspection will not be allowed into the sale.
- All animals must have a valid export test which is in date up to a minimum of 3 working days following
the sale.
- 60 day Brucellosis test for females over 24 months.
- All animals must be linear scored within the correct time period – i.e. from 250 – 350 days of birth.
Animals scored outside the age range are not eligible into the Show/Sale.
- All entries will be pre-inspected at various centres prior to sale date. A certificate of compliance is
required to bring animals to inspection venues.
- Bulls must meet the minimum weight for age.
- All bulls must have passed a fertility test within 4 weeks of the sale date. (This can be done by Brendan
Regan or the breeder's own Vet. Mr. Regan has offered to provide the fertility testing service in the mart at a
reduced price, provided the animal is brought to the Mart the day before the Show/Sale day).
- Entry fee is €50.00. If an animal fails inspection €35.00 of this will will be refunded.
- BVD - All animals at Society run sales, must be tested and certified BVD virus free.
- Testicle Measurements – All bulls must meet the minimum criteria for testicle size.

This is a pre-inspected Show & Sale. Inspection venues will be circulated as soon as possible
after the closing date.
The Charolais Society and Mart venue do not accept any responsibility for injury to, or loss of
any animal at the Show and Sale.

Males born between 1st September 2013 – 31st March 2014
Females born on/or before 30th April 2014 (Up to 36 months).
Testicle Measurements
(Bulls not meeting the minimum criteria will NOT be allowed into the show & sale).
Less than 13 months on day of sale – 30cm
Less than 15 months on day of sale – 31cm
Less than 17 months on day of sale – 32cm
17 months and over on day of sale – 33cm

All animals at the sale are sold “on the market” i.e. once an animal enters the ring he/she is on
the market and the seller agrees or not to the final price achieved by the auctioneer just
before the fall of the hammer.
Entry fee is €50.00. If an animal fails inspection €35.00 of this fee will be refunded.
Unhaltered animals will not be allowed into any Society Show and Sale.
