Traffic Bylaw Amendment No. 133
Edmonton City Council Enacts:
1.
Bylaw 5590, the Traffic Bylaw, is amended by Bylaw 13751.
2.
Bylaw 5590 is amended as follows:
"Wherever it appears in Bylaw 5590, with the exception of section 102(16), the
phrase "Director of Traffic Operations" is struck out and "City Manager" is
substituted."
3.
“PART 5 - CYCLISTS, SKATERS AND HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES, Section
503 (1) (c)” is amended by deleting the following:
“give an audible signal before overtaking a pedestrian, which signal will be produced
a reasonable time prior to overtaking, by voice, bell or other warning device, which is
audible to the pedestrian.”
4.
“PART 5 - CYCLISTS, SKATERS AND HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES, Section
503 (1) (c)” is amended by adding the following:
“alert anyone about to be overtaken by sounding a bell a reasonable amount of time
before overtaking.”
5.
“SCHEDULE I - SCHEDULE OF TRUCK ROUTES, A. East-West Truck Routes”
is amended by deleting the following:
“115th Avenue from 82nd Street to Fort Road”
6.
“SCHEDULE I - SCHEDULE OF TRUCK ROUTES, B. North-South Truck
Routes” is amended by deleting the following:
“86th Street from 112th Avenue to the Fort Road”

“SCHEDULE I - SCHEDULE OF TRUCK ROUTES, C. Radial Truck Routes” is
amended by deleting the following:
“Fort Road N.W. from 86th Street N.W. to 115th Avenue N.W.”
8.
“SCHEDULE I - SCHEDULE OF TRUCK ROUTES, D. Restricted Truck Routes”
is amended by deleting the following:
“79th Street N.W. from 112th Avenue N.W. to 115th Avenue N.W.
115th Avenue N.W. from 79th Street N.W. to 82nd Street N.W.”
9.
“SCHEDULE I - SCHEDULE OF TRUCK ROUTES, D. Restricted Truck Routes”
is amended by adding the following:
“115 Avenue NW from 80 Street NW to 82 Street NW”
10.
“SCHEDULE II - SCHEDULE OF HIGHWAYS WITH VEHICLES ONLY IN ONE
DIRECTION AND BICYCLES ONLY IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION” is
amended by adding the following:
“110 Street NW southbound from 90 Avenue NW to 82 Avenue NW with a travel
lane width of 2.0 metres east of the west curb
111 Street NW northbound from 82 Avenue NW to 86 Avenue NW with a travel lane
width of 2.0 metres west of the east curb”
11.
“SCHEDULE V - SCHEDULE OF RESTRICTED HIGHWAYS - Bus, School Bus,
Taxicab and Bicycle Only Highways Designated Hours (Monday to Friday inclusive
only)” is amended by deleting the following:
The first 30 meters of every block of the North curb lane westbound on Jasper
Avenue from 109 Street N.W. to 120 Street N.W. between 1530 hours and 1700
hours.”
12.
“SCHEDULE V - SCHEDULE OF RESTRICTED HIGHWAYS - Bus, School Bus,
Taxicab and Bicycle Only Highways Designated Hours (Monday to Friday inclusive
only)” is amended by adding the following:
“The first 30 metres of every block of the north curb lane westbound on Jasper
Avenue from 109 Street NW to 120 Street NW between 1530 hours and 1800 hours”
