FROZEN SEMEN BREEDING CONTRACT

Fees:
1. Williamsburg Farm agrees to provide the buyer with a maximum of 4 doses
(units) of frozen semen from the stallion Abdullah the stud fee to be paid to the
American Trakehner Assn.
2. The Frozen Semen is stored and distributed from Select Breeders Service in
Colora, MD. There is a refundable deposit required for the shipping container
of $800. There is also a Distribution Charge of $245 per shipment which
covers the tank rental, handling charges and all shipping including return of the
container. Please make out two separate checks payable to SBS.
3. All of the above mentioned fees are payable upon execution of this contract.
Buyer specifically understands and agrees that no semen will be shipped until
all fees have been paid in full.
4. Buyer agrees to return shipping container to SBS as per instructions within two
weeks from the date of receiving the container. Failure to do so will result in
forfeit of the container deposit.
Description:
1. A unit of Frozen Semen is defined as a single insemination dose which
contains a minimum of 600 million total sperm and upon thawing >30% postthaw motility. Frozen semen post-thaw motility analysis done by Select
Breeders Service.
2. Williamsburg Farm / Select Breeders Service agrees to provide detailed
instructions for thawing and inseminating using the frozen semen as well as
providing consulting services with the veterinarian responsible for the
insemination.
INDEMNITY CLAUSE
The parties agree that the Buyer shall assume all responsibility for the
condition of the mare and shall bear all risk of loss or injury to the mare by any
cause whatsoever, and therefore agree to hold Williamsburg Farm /Select Breeders
Service or any employees or associates harmless for any and all damages
associated therewith. Buyer understands that Williamsburg Farm/Select breeders
Service makes no guarantees, expressed or implied as to the fertilizing capacity of
semen provided by WBF/SBS
In the event that inseminations using the initial 4 doses of semen from the
stallion do not result in a live foal, as certified by a licensed veterinarian,
Williamsburg Farm will have fulfilled its obligations under this contract. Any
unused straws are the property of and shall be returned to Williamsburg Farm or
Select Breeders Service.
